we got our first alaskan sun burns on a two day camping trip. cheeks nose and hands are the only exposed skin. so our knuckles are tan.
we hiked overland pass down to ugadaga bay in beaver inlet. this is the pacific side of the island.
lizy hiked with weight on her back for the first time. she also scaled her first mountain slope -- we had to slide sideways about 30 yards over a snow field. she should be ready to join the Daisyies this fall.
